One week left for Springboard Awards entries

Catering and hospitality professionals have less than a week left to enter the 2010 Springboard Awards for Excellence.

Entries for the awards, which are in their eighth year, celebrate inspiring people, organisations and initiatives that help elevate the profile of the industry as an employer. They close on 30 September.

The awards fall into three categories:

Category 1: Promoting Careers

â- Best Regional Initiative
â- The Web Award
â- The Education Award

Category 2: Attracting People

â- The Young People Award
â- Best Student Placement Award
â- The Diversity in Employment Award
â- Best Initiative to Attract Chefs
â- Best Initiative to Attract People into Management

Category 3: Best Employment Practice

â- Best Employer Award
â- Best Career Progression Award
â- The Retention Award
â- Best Recruitment Initiative Award
â- The Corporate Responsibility Award
â- People Innovation Award

The awards ceremony, which takes place on Monday 29 November at the Lancaster London from 6.30pm, will also see the presentation of the Chris Beaumont Special Award - for most outstanding contribution towards Springboard Aims.
