Pabulum secures £1.5m deal with Backwell School

School caterer Pabulum has secured a five-year deal worth £1.5m with Backwell School in Bristol.

The secondary school has 1,700 pupils and the contract will see Pabulum supply and manage the contract services from April 2016.

Commenting on the new contract win, Pabulum's sales and marketing director Mike Richardson, said: "We're delighted to be working with an outstanding school where the senior leadership team take a genuine interest in food.

"As part of this new contract we will be relaunching the school's catering service, and making a significant investment. Pupils and staff will benefit from the new biometric cashless payment system across the school's three dining areas, and we will be introducing our popular ‘I Love Coffee' brand into the 6th-form centre."

He added: "These investments, together with the quality of our fresh food offer, our signature modern signage, and unrivalled operational support, impressed the school's leadership team and helped us to secure the contract. We look forward to welcoming staff and students at Backwell School in April when the contract begins."

At the start of this year Pabulum announced it secured £14.7m worth of business with the renewal of 12 contracts.
