Paul Daly has been announced as managing director of Initial Catering Services, part of Rentokil Initial.

He officially starts his position on the 8 April and will oversee Autograph Foodservice and Eden Foodservice.

Daly joined the caterer and facilities management division of the company last year as consultant, a move exclusively revealed in Caterer.

Daly was previously commercial director of business and industry at Sodexho and was originally taken on by Initial for a three-month period to asses the future of the Autograph (business and industry) and Eden (education) brands.

The company has recently won a £2m-plus catering contract with tour operator Thomas Cook and a £2m contract with Diabetes Care in Oxford, which also includes a support services contract worth £2m.

Daly started his hospitality career as an apprentice at the Dorchester hotel in London.
