People 1st to hold free business training seminars
People 1st Training Company is set to hold an afternoon of free training seminars for hospitality businesses.
The interactive seminars will take place at Vinopolis, London, on 28 February 2013 to help hospitality businesses find ways to improve performance by training and developing their people.
Entitled "Success through people in the service sector", the event will feature expert speakers from companies including YO! Sushi, Wembley Stadium, Sodexo and the Restaurant Group.
Attendees will hear stories from businesses that have changed their organisational culture through training, and find out how they can use techniques like coaching, mentoring, and getting their own people to deliver training to improve performance. They will also find out how creating more diverse teams can raise productivity, and get practical advice on how to manage them.
The event will be hosted by Charles Prew, managing director of the Prew Partnership and former chief executive of Von Essen and Barceló hotels.
"When times are hard, cutting training can seem like an easy option to reduce outgoings - but businesses that don't train are two and a half times more likely to fail than those that do. This event will show employers how to avoid this false economy and make their businesses profitable through their people."
