Jorge Calisto is the new bar manager of the Library Bar at the five-star Lanesborough hotel in Knightsbridge, London. He moves from Monte's Bar, also in Knightsbridge, where he was the head barman for nine and a half years before it closed.

The Linthwaite House hotel in Cumbria has appointed Simon Bolsover as head chef. He joins the three-star, 27-bedroom property from La Sapiniere restaurant, in Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, where he was head chef.
Angela Hayward is the new sales manager at the 108-bedroom Tulip Inn hotel in Portsmouth. She comes from the 126-bedroom Royal Beach hotel in Portsmouth where she was the front of house manager. Sarah Thomas-Walsh has joined the 108-bedroom Tulip Inn hotel in Portsmouth as deputy general manager. She moves from the Lloyds TSB Service Centre in Whitely, Hampshire, where she was customer services manager. The 214-bedroom Harrogate Moat House hotel, North Yorkshire, has appointed Adam Lloyd as general manager. He comes from the 172-bedroom Nottingham Moat House hotel where he was general manager. ### Restaurants Richard Burnett has been appointed general manager of Frankie & Benny's in Falkirk, Scotland. He moves from The People Tree training and development company where he was a recruitment consultant. Richard Price is the new general manager of Frankie & Benny's in Dudley, West Midlands. He moves from the Old Orleans restaurant in Edinburgh where he was the general manager. ### Contract catering

Andy Anderson has been appointed strategic development director of ESS, the Compass-owned provider of hotel and soft facilities management services to the Ministry of Defence. He joins ESS following a 35-year career in the army, most recently managing hard and soft facilities management for the army estate in the north of England and Scotland.
