Golden Tulip has appointed Philip Cox as general manager of the 119-bedroom Tulip Inn Leeds Castleford, West Yorkshire, which opens in March 2005. He moves from the four-star, 106-bedroom Westwood Hall Conference Centre & Hotel in Leeds, where he was general manager. John Rothwell is the new general manager of the 160-bedroom Tulip Inn Manchester. He moves from the three-star, 111-bedroom Royal Clifton hotel in Southport, Merseyside, where he was general manager. Tracy White has been appointed head chef at the three-star, 47-bedroom, Bobsleigh hotel near Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. She moves from the 90-bedroom Berystede hotel in Ascot, Berkshire, where she was senior sous chef.
William Anderson has been named managing director of Oceanside Holding Company. He will be responsible for the management, operations and marketing of the five-star Palms resort and the 116-bedroom The Sands at Grace Bay hotel on the Turks & Caicos Islands, 39 miles south-east of the Bahamas in the Atlantic Ocean. Most recently he was founder/chairman and chief executive of development, management and marketing company Acacia. Marco Battistotti has been appointed food and beverage director at the 299-bedroom Corinthia Bab Africa hotel in Tripoli, Libya. He moves from his position as executive assistant manager at the Abuja Sheraton hotel and towers in Abuja, Nigeria. Marlene Buhagiar has been appointed executive housekeeper at the 299-bedroom Corinthia Bab Africa hotel in Tripoli, Libya. She moves from the 450-bedroom Corinthia Beach Resort in Malta, where she was executive housekeeper. Peter Shrigley has been appointed director of sales at the four-star, 303-bedroom, Midland hotel in Manchester. He moves from Radisson SAS hotels, where he was director of conference sales for the Manchester Airport, Leeds, and London Stanstead hotels. ### Contract catering Isabel Hutchinson has been promoted to regional managing director north for Sodexho Healthcare. She moves up from her current role as the group's relationship and development director. ### Pubs Terry Titley has been appointed catering development officer at managed pub operator Barracuda. He previously worked at pizza ingredients and equipment company Scal Food Concepts, where he was a regional training and sales manager.
