Roland Fasel has been appointed general manager at the five-star, 451-bedroom InterContinental London. Before joining the Hyde Park Corner hotel Roland was managing director of Badrutt's Palace Hotel in St Moritz, Switzerland. The 210-bedroom Holiday Inn London Docklands ExCel has welcomed Gaelle Scohier as corporate sales manager. Gaelle previously held the same role at the Holiday Inn Kings Cross in London. The 147-bedroom Express by Holiday Inn London-Luton Airport has a new general manager - Iihan Kose. Iihan previously managed the Different Drummer hotel in Stony Stratford, Buckinghamshire. Tracy Halliwell has joined Millennium & Copthorne Hotels as vice president of sales and marketing for Europe and the Middle East. She was formerly sales director for Thistle Hotels. Ramada Jarvis has promoted Kristy Davies to the role of sales director. Kristy, who first joined the company 10 years ago as a graduate trainee, was promoted from the position of national account manager. Wyndham International has named Philip Gosch as senior vice president of acquisitions and development. Philip was previously senior vice president, chief counsel, real estate and finance. ### Restaurants

Conisbee
Phil Conisbee is the new owner-manager of the 250-seat Outback Steakhouse restaurant in Enfield, Middlesex. He previously ran the Jolly Farmers pub in Worplesdon, Surrey. The board of the Restaurant Group has announced the appointment of Stephen Critoph as finance director. Stephen moved from Compass Group, where he was international development director for Moto Hospitality. ### Contract catering

Warwickshire-based Hopkinson Catering has made several new appointments. Amanda Hopkins has been appointed human resources and training director. She leaves her position as director of human resources at the Hilton Metropole Hotel at the NEC in Birmingham. Andrew Eagles has joined as operations director for London. He was previously operations manager for Autograph. Hopkinson's new group operations manager is Jody Fry, who leaves her role as general manager of the Culham Science Centre in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. Joining as business development coordinator is Christine Smeaton, who moves from Sodexho where she was general services manager. Andrew Nash has become area support and training manager. He was previously catering manager for Royal Mail in Swindon, Wiltshire.
