Prestige Scotland wins best event award for The Open at St Andrews
Sodexo's Prestige Scotland business has scooped an award for its hospitality services at The Open Championship at St Andrews this year.
The Scottish Event Awards honoured Prestige Scotland with the best Business to Business Corporate Event award at a ceremony held at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow, which officially relaunches in the next two weeks following an extensive refurbishment.
Prestige Scotland's regional director Austin Tilsley said it was a privilege to be associated with the Open Championship, which this year celebrated its 150th anniversary.
"The R&A are a fantastic client to work with and they fully understand and appreciate the many challenges we face during the event. For our chefs, managers and staff this event gives our organisation the opportunity to display our full range of skills at the highest possible level," he added.
In a second triumph for the company, the Gateway Centre at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, where Prestige Scotland provides catering, event and sales and marketing services, was named the Best Unusual Venue.
