Pub companies and contract caterers enjoy success at Menu Innovation and Development Awards
Mitchells & Butlers, Marston's Inns & Taverns, Sodexo and Compass Group were the big winners at last week's Menu Innovation and Development Awards (MIDAS), picking up two awards each.
The MIDAS awards, held at the Cumberland hotel, London, were founded in 2009 by the Menu Innovation Network, which is designed to allow menu development managers and group executive chefs to interact and exchange information.
The winners in the 20 categories were chosen by a team of mystery diners and judges.
The winner, along with a member from the category sponsor, will take a spot in the Menu Innovation Network's five-day research and insight tour of Chicago in May.
