Restaurant Associates launches events caterer Radish

Restaurant Associates, the executive dining arm of Compass Group, has launched a high end events business called Radish.

The concept will be offered to existing clients looking to host events and parties. It will combine Restaurant Associates' food offer with Rapport guest services to deliver creative events at any venue.

Restaurant Associates managing director Andy Harris said: "This is a really exciting time for Restaurant Associates. Over the past year we have reinvigorated our business; creating fantastic supplier partnerships, amazing new food concepts and embedding Rapport into our family. Radish is the next natural step on this journey and I have no doubt that our events business will grow and flourish enabling us to exceed the expectations of our clients and customers."

The new events team will be headed up by Claire Taylor. She joins Restaurant Associates with an event planning background having worked for London party caterer Zafferano for five years.

Radish (a play on Restaurant Associate's initials) was launched at its city client Nomura. Held on the firm's city terrace overlooking the Thames, the theme of the event was a celebration of the British allotment. Guests entered through a shed manned by Bill and Ben, before tucking into dishes including gin and tonic smoked salmon, a hog roast and braised short rib beef on the garden themed terrace.
