Rezidor SAS Hospitality's Thorsten Kirschke expands role

Rezidor SAS Hospitality has appointed Thorsten Kirschke as senior vice-president and chief operating officer.

German born Kirschke has worked for the company for the past 12 years. His most recent position with Rezidor was area vice-president Germany, Austria, South East Europe, Switzerland, Italy and Poland.

Kirschke will maintain his role as area vice-president Germany in addition to his new position.

Kurt Ritter, president and chief executive of Rezidor, said: "With his background and dynamic personality he will bring some fresh blood to our executive team."

The company has 271 hotels in 47 countries, with more than 55,000 bedrooms.
