Rhubarb reveals more details on ‘walkie talkie' building venues

Foodservice firm Rhubarb has released more details of its forthcoming restaurant, bar and events space named Sky Garden, at the top of London's 20 Fenchurch Street, better known as the "walkie talkie" building.

It has now been confirmed that level 37 will host the Fenchurch Seafood Bar & Grill, which will specialise in oysters, fish and seafood, as well as seasonal meat and vegetarian dishes. There will also be an 18-seat private dining room.

Level 36 will house the brasserie-style Darwin Brasserie, and serve European-inspired dishes such as carpaccio of Scottish beef with truffled mascarpone, rocket, and parmesan; or Cornish lamb cutlets, with bubble and squeak and Cumberland jelly.

The Sky Pod bar, on Level 35, will offer breakfast, lunch and late-night cocktails, plus lunchtime light meals and bar snacks. There will be a focus on local London suppliers and produce, including options such as charcuterie boards with Hereford beef and Gloucester pork.

The group also confirmed that there will also be a forest garden offering views across the capital.

Nicknamed as the "walkie talkie" building, thanks to its curved shape, 20 Fenchurch Street is a 38-storey tower designed by architect Rafael ViÁ±oly.

London-based UK-wide caterer Rhubarb was founded in 1996 as a home kitchen-based business. It is now known for its work at large events such as Elton John's Aids Foundation White Tie and Tiara Ball, and the Ark Charity Gala.

It also runs a variety of permanent venues at the Royal Albert Hall, Heathrow Airport, and Bond & Brook at Fenwick, Bond Street.
