Rhubarb secures £90m Royal Albert Hall renewal

Rhubarb has secured a £90m extension to its Royal Albert Hall contract with a deal for a further six years.

The caterer has provided hospitality services at the music venue since January 2011 and in that time claims to have doubled catering turnover.

It said that the deal including a new catering vision agreed with the venue that would improve the guest experience and boost revenue, with improvements working towards the Albert Hall's 150th anniversary celebrations in 2021.

At the Royal Albert Hall Rhubarb currently operates six restaurants and 14 bars including Verdi, Coda Restaurant, Cloudy Bay and Elgar Bar & Grill as well as catering for private boxes.

Rhubarb managing director PB Jacobse said: "We are delighted to have been awarded a second six-year contract with the Royal Albert Hall. We are very proud of our association with this famed London institution and the contract renewal is a testament to how hard the rhubarb team at the Royal Albert Hall work."

The caterer's portfolio includes the Sky Garden on London's Fenchurch Street, Gallery Mess at London's Saatchi Gallery and the £60m five-year deal to deliver catering at Goodwood Estate.
