Rhubarb is to run the dining areas covering three stories at London's latest landmark, 20 Fenchurch Street.

The building, affectionately known as the ‘Walkie-Talkie' will include landscaped gardens on its upper floors, around which Rhubarb will develop three catering concepts.

The contract caterer will create a food bar on Level 35 serving champagne and canapés, a brasserie on Level 36, and a seafood bar and grill on Level 37. It will also caterer for events and office tenants in the building.

Rhubarb said that an exclusive agreement with Heston Blumenthal means the chef and his team will be available to work on its events.

The ‘Sky Garden' at the Land Securities and Canary Wharf Group joint venture have been designed by landscape architects Gillespies. Rhubarb's new concepts will be set within the gardens, which will open in 2014.

Rhubarb retail director Helen Bowey said: "We are delighted to be developing three distinctive new food and drink concepts in the heart of the city. There will be a diverse range of menus and offers available from classic to innovative dishes and a sophisticated sea food counter to a stylish food bar. The Sky Garden will provide 21st century dining at its best set across three floors and with exceptional views of the Capital."

David Atcherley-Symes, retail leasing director at Land Securities London, said: "This agreement with Rhubarb furthers 20 Fenchurch Street's reputation as one of the most exciting new developments in London. With its distinctive design, inspiring views and this new venue on the top floors, 20 Fenchurch Street is a great example of how London is furthering its reputation as one of the world's most dynamic and vibrant business cities."
