Richard Franks named Apostrophe managing director

Richard Franks is to join Apostrophe as managing director. He takes over the high street cafe group from Amir Chen, who leaves following CH&Co's full acquisition of the business.

In January 2012 CH&Co entered into a joint venture with Apostrophe, which it has since bought outright.

Franks was most recently at coffee chain Harris & Hoole, prior to which he worked at sandwich chain EAT.

CH&Co group chief executive Stuart Lawson said: "Now is a great time for Apostrophe to make its next leap forward and we are delighted to have attracted someone of Richard's talent."

Outgoing chief executive Amir Chen added: "I am so proud of what we achieved and I look forward to seeing Richard and CH&Co take Apostrophe to the next level of development."
