Rosemary Shrager to headline NACC Forum
Self-taught chef and television personality Rosemary Shrager is set to headline the National Association of Care Catering (NACC) Training & Development Forum 2014, which this year relocates to Nottingham.
Shrager will headline the event as guest speaker, presenting and demonstrating some of the nutritionally-balanced recipes that she and her head chef have specifically developed for the care sector.
This year will also see the introduction of training modules, accredited and delivered by Westminster Kingsway College, giving delegates extra qualifications, while key issues to be addressed include developments, Government guidelines, challenges and concerns relating to care catering.
The latest food, drink, technology, equipment and services appropriate for care establishments will be on show at the CaterCare exhibition, which runs alongside the Forum, and the NACC Awards event will recognise excellence and innovation from within the care catering sector on the evening of 2 October.
Neel Radia, national chair of the NACC, described the Forum as a fundamental part of the care catering calendar.
"It is the only opportunity care caterers have to come together and take stock of the sector's daily challenges and changing demands," he commented.
"A personal highlight for me has to be the NACC Awards and I very much look forward to handing out the deserved gongs to all the winners. Over the past 12 months we have seen some phenomenal examples of professionals in our sector going above and beyond to deliver excellence in service, raise the standards and profile of care catering, and inspire others.
"Every category is hotly contested, so it's going to be an exciting evening as the winners are revealed."
