Scotland tourism strategy to be outlined at ScotHot 2013

Scotland tourism minister Fergus Ewing is to present the Scottish Government's tourism strategy at ScotHot 2013, outlining plans for the country to be the world's premier tourism destination by 2020.

The show, which kicks off Scotland Tourism Week, will feature hundreds of suppliers alongside live demonstrations, presentations and competitions.

Representing the pinnacle of the exhibition's culinary events, the Scottish Culinary Championship will be celebrating half a century of high achievement and creativity. For the first time the championships will showcase exciting new contests including the Scottish Restaurant Challenge and - to celebrate 40 years of ScotHot - The ScotHot Classic.

The competition winners will be celebrated along with those of the Scottish Chef of the Year and the World Culinary Grand Prix at the ScotHot Awards Dinner at the Grand Central Hotel on the evening of Wednesday 6 March.

The three-day event is free to trade visitors when registering online via www.ScotHot.co.uk
