Smoothies from Love Smoothies

Love Smoothies currently has a number of stand-alone smoothie bars operating across the UK, including one at London advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi.

This summer the company will be rolling out a new concept that will allow deli bars, coffee bars and cafés to prepare fresh smoothies. There are two packages available.

The Complete Smoothie Bar package offers a total fresh smoothie bar experience, and includes juicing equipment, such as blender, OJ machine and centrifugal juicer; staff training; a bespoke menu; all ingredients; cups, straws, lids and sleeves; and marketing and point-of-sale (POS) material. The "Made Easy" Package features a simplified production system suitable for operations where convenience is critical and space is limited. Included in this package are individually portioned bags of frozen fresh fruit with a 12-month shelf life; bottles of freshly squeezed orange and apple juice; a blender; cups, sleeves and straws; and marketing and POS material.

With both packages operators can choose from an extensive range, which includes a warm smoothie and smoothies containing açai (the world's most nutritious fruit); and unlike bottled or prepackaged smoothies, Love Smoothies drinks aren't pasteurised. Boosts such as echinacea, bee pollen, aloe vera and wheatgrass can be added to increase the nutritional benefit of the drinks.

Prices: blenders from £350, juicers from £995, 150g frozen fruit pouches 80p
