Sodexo appoints new chief financial officer for UK and Ireland

Sodexo has named Lynn Mawdsley as its new chief financial officer for the company's UK and Ireland business.

Mawdsley has joined the foodservice and facilities management firm with more than 20 years' experience in senior financial positions in large, international organisations, having qualified with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

She has worked in listed, private and public sector organisations across several industry sectors including telecoms, B2B and B2C services, media, manufacturing, distribution and financial services.

Her previous roles include finance director at MCI Worldcom, T Mobile UK and Cable & Wireless, before going on to hold a variety of executive interim board roles over the last few years, supporting businesses though periods of major change and transformation.

Mawdsley has become the fifth female member of the Sodexo UK and Ireland executive team, bringing the percentage of women up to 38%.

Commenting on Mawdsley's appointment chief executive Debbie White said: "Lynn is a highly experienced chief financial officer and brings a wealth of commercial, strategic and financial expertise from a broad and diverse background with large, international companies."
