Sodexo completes Atkins acquisition
Sodexo has completed its acquisition of asset management firm Atkins, including its managing contractor and managing agent businesses.
The latter will be renamed Sodexo Property Solutions and led by Andrew Wilkinson. Its proposition can be delivered as an independent offer or combined with Sodexo's range of self-delivered FM services.
David Horton will lead the managing contractor business, which is aimed to strengthen Sodexo's hard FM capability.
Sean Haley will become chief operating officer for Sodexo's Corporate Services Integrated Facilities Management division and will report to Neil Murray who is managing director of this part of Sodexo's business in the UK and Ireland.
Commenting on the acquisition, Murray said: "We are committed to investing in and developing our FM business as a market innovator and leader and believe this acquisition will enable us to deliver a totally integrated service which is strong in consulting and design, management and delivery."
