Sodexo renames prison business Sodexo Justice Services

Sodexo has renamed its UK prison business Sodexo Justice Services from Kalyx in a bid to create a single brand identity.

The company's prison operations in France and Chile are also undergoing a name change from Siges to Sodexo Justice Services.

Sodexo currently operates four prisons in the UK and runs justice services at over 110 prisons across the world. It has identified the sector as one in which it has the potential to grow worldwide.

Aidan Connolly, chief executive of Sodexo's UK and Ireland business, said that despite the name change, the business will remain unchanged in both culture and operation.

"I am confident the re-naming of Kalyx to Sodexo Justice Services is a positive step forward - both in terms of growing our global presence in justice services and raising awareness of the Sodexo brand and the breadth of our business," he added.

Sodexo has been running rehabilitation services since 1993 and employs 2,000 people in the UK.
