Sodexo wins £13m contract with Nuffield Health
Sodexo has grown its healthcare portfolio with a £13m contract to service Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing Centres across the UK.
The five-year deal, worth an estimated £2.6m annually, sees around 100 employees provide Sodexo's ‘Be… Active' food and beverage offer at 15 centres including the City of London, Portsmouth, Chelmsford, Hull and St. Albans.
John Wright, Sodexo's director for private hospitals said: "We are very pleased to have been awarded this contract. It is not only great news for the business but the new contract fits in perfectly with our own Healthwise philosophy, under which we provide advice and information to help our clients, customers and our own employees learn how to achieve balanced diets and healthy lifestyles."
This contract marks an extension to a business relationship between Sodexo and Nuffield Health after the food and facilities management firm was awarded a five-year deal to provide catering at 30 Nuffield Health hospitals in 2007.
Simon Hooper, Nuffield Health's director of retail, added: "We are looking forward to rolling out Sodexo's ‘Be… Active' offer at the selected sites as it will offer our customers the perfect compliment to the services we offer."
