Sodexo wins £75m full service deal at Brighton and Sussex NHS Trust
Sodexo has been awarded a £75m bundled services contract with Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The five year deal, estimated to have an annual turnover of more than £15m, begins next month and includes an option to be extended for a further two years.
The catering and facilities management (FM) provider will deliver a full range of soft services including patient and non-patient dining, cleaning, retail, housekeeping, portering, grounds maintenance, waste management and linen supply.
The Trust provides acute services across two sites - the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath - and treats more than three quarters of a million patients each year. Sodexo has been providing soft FM services to the Princess Royal Hospital since 1996.
Simon Scrivens, managing director, Sodexo Healthcare, said: "We are delighted to have won this contract and are especially pleased to be building on our existing relationship with the Trust.
"Today's announcement is testament to Sodexo Healthcare's commitment to supporting the NHS with its twin challenges of improving quality and at the same time delivering operational efficiencies."
