Springboard calls for cyclists to enter Team Velo Challenge 2016

Springboard is calling for hospitality employees to don their Lycra and take part in the annual Team Velo Challenge to raise money for the charity.

The challenge, which is supported by Pullman Hotels and in partnership with Sky, will see participants cycling from London to Paris between 22 and 24 September 2016.

On the first day, cyclists will travel 84.5 miles from London to Portsmouth. The second day will be the shortest distance, from Caen to Le Neubourg over 68 miles. On the final day, participants will complete the 228.5-mile journey in Paris.

Alison Dolan, deputy managing director for Sky Business, said: "We're delighted to be supporting this fantastic challenge, which helps to raise vital funds for the charity to help positively change the lives of many in the hospitality industry. We are looking forward to participating and sharing in what is sure to be a highly motivating experience for all involved."

The funds raised through the Team Velo challenge will be used to support Springboard's youth programmes, encouraging more people to take up careers in hospitality.

By registering a team, each cyclist pledges to raise at least £500. For more details visit http://teamvelochallenge.co.uk
