SSP signs £110m agreement with Center Parcs
Travel concession operator SSP has extended its relationship with holiday village firm Center Parcs with a new £110m contract.
SSP, which owns brands such as Upper Crust and Caffè Ritazza, will take over eight existing food and beverage operations across all four Center Parcs villages.
It will also develop additional concepts for the forthcoming Woburn village, which is scheduled to open in 2013.
SSP began working with Center Parcs in 2007 when it introduced gastropub concept the Forrester's Inn at its Sherwood and Elveden Forest locations.
Expected to generate sales in excess of £110m, the new deal sees SSP take over and manage the Lagoon bars at all four parks, the Made restaurant offer at three parks and Café Refresh and Lagoon Bar at Whinfell Forest from September.
Nathan Wall, managing director of SSP UK Air, the division responsible for the contract, said: "SSP and Center Parcs share the same vision; to provide their customers with a high level of quality in both product and service.
"We are thrilled to be able to extend our strong working relationship with Center Parcs to continue to make this vision a reality."
