Stellar line up confirmed for Digital Summit

Google, Travelzoo and Expedia are to present alongside operators leading the way in hospitality technology at next week's inaugural Digital Summit.

Taking place at Kings Place, London on Monday 12 May, the one-day event will explore all the latest technical advances in hospitality, with practical advice from those at the forefront of mobile payment, revenue management, search optimisation and digital distribution.

Channel 4 culture and digital editor Paul Mason will open the event with a keynote speech on his take on technology in hospitality. He'll analyse current economic trends and their relation to technology, and explain which innovations are being embraced by consumers.

Meanwhile, Google's industry manager Asier Domaic will explain the latest tools being made available by the search engine giant, as well as exploring its plans for the future.

In the panel session on getting the distribution balance right, operators and OTAs will discuss how hospitality businesses can make the most of online booking platforms, respond to booking trends and drive occupancy. Among the panel will be Expedia's Christopher Michau, who will reveal the OTAs finding on changing trends in customer bookings.

Caterer group editor Mark Lewis said: "Our summit will explore all that's current in digital marketing and distribution, with practical tips and advice on making the most of available technology. We'll also look at what the future has in store for mobile payment, and speak to the operators leading the way."
