Talkington Bates scoops hat trick of new business wins
Independent contract caterer Talkington Bates has announced a hat trick of new business wins with a combined value of £5m over the next five years.
The three new clients include a company providing retirement and extra care schemes in the South-east of England, a chemical company based in Milton Keynes and a major tyre operator in Wiltshire.
Paul Bates, Talkington Bates's group managing director, described the wins as a fantastic way to end the year. He said: "These new business gains highlight the quality of our offering, the excellence of our people and our passion for delivering great food across a range of catering sites."
The contract with Saxon Weald Homes, which operates retirement and extra care schemes in Sussex and Hampshire, will see Talkington Bates Midlands provide lunch and day-care catering for residents at the sites. The three-year agreement is worth a total of £3.5m.
Staff at the Milton Keynes manufacturing site of chemical company Lyondell Basell will be catered for by Talkington Bates, as part of a three-year agreement worth around £165,000.
In the third new contract, the caterer is providing the menu for staff at Cooper Tire's European headquarters in Melksham, Wiltshire, following a formal tendering process which resulted in a new three-year deal.
