Ariane Systems
Stand 515
The most exciting new technology at the show, no less, is the claim from Ariane, launching the Systems Express check-in/out kiosks. The company will also be launching a new external kiosk for economy and budget hotels, to provide guests in all levels of accommodation a 24/7 self-service check-in and check-out facility, using only the guest's credit card as customer recognition.

Call Systems Technologies
Stand 605
There will be the launch of a new version of CST's EasyCall system, designed to make it even easier for customers to call for service, and easier for staff to respond. The new EasyCall allows the button to also send an alert to a silent pager worn by waiting staff, and the waiter will know which table needs attention. The company will also be showing ResPAK, its reservation, table management, function and event planning system for hotels and restaurants.

Comtrex Systems
Stand 448
Comtrex is showing the Odyssey software suite, the result of four years' development, designed to be an easy-to-use system which handles jobs from taking a customer's order at the table to keeping track of the back office movements. The Odyssey All In One front of house system offers the facility to set up multiple bills per table, merge tables and to share the cost of menu items, such as wine, between customers in a party. The software allows for unlimited menu levels and will highlight menu items where stock is low. There is also Membership and Loyalty software which keeps track of customer visits, and generates targetted promotional mailers.

Stand 740
The launch of an Internet Protocol Television service is predicted to give a great deal of food for thought about the costs of distributing TV and video around hotel buildings. This is intended to replace traditional co-axial systems with a more cost-effective IP-based network, enabling hotels to deliver video, freeview, digital and analogue TV stations over a network to any end point, including bedrooms, restaurants and reception areas.

Stand 331
There are new enhancements to the Maitre'D 2005 Edition, designed to increase speed of service. The software is designed to be fully customisable to meet any concept's specific needs.

MCR Systems

The latest software from MCR is Symphony Enterprise, available as an internet-based service via a web browser, which the company says is quicker, easier and cheaper to deploy than traditional software.

Newmarket's solutions enable cross-selling and automated lead generation allowing hotels to increase efficiencies and maximise profits.

Stand 731
There will be a new Triple Play solution for hotels looking to offer Broadband and IPTV to hotel guests and visitors. This is said to be unique in that all services and broadband can be offered to every guest room by utilising the existing phone cabling. The service is delivered to each room by installing a new wall plate which presents the phone socket and two Ethernet sockets. The services are connected in the hotel comms rooms via new data switches and the existing phone switchboard. Hotels will have a choice of providing free broadband access or charging guests; various packages will be available to the hotel, from full equipment purchase to leasing options.

TMS ComTelco
