Ten out of Ten training programme now open to chefs
The huge success of the scheme, which produced its first group of graduates in 2013, is looking to recruit candidates for its first chef programme, which will now alternate on an annual basis with the hotel managers intake.
Aimed at young chefs over 19 who have completed a professional chef diploma level 2 and one year's experience in the industry, the scheme will offer 10 candidates a 25-month training programme, which will involve work experience in 10 of the UK and Ireland's most prestigious hotels and restaurants.
The establishments involved include Ballyfin, County Laois, Ireland; Calcot Manor, Gloucestershire; Chewton Glen, Hampshire (pictured); Cliveden, Berkshire; Gilpin Hotel & Lake House, Cumbria; Hinds Head, Berkshire; Mallory Court hotel, Warwickshire; Seafood restaurant, Cornwall; and the Vineyard, Berkshire.
Sue William, general manager of Cliveden, and programme director of the Ten out of Ten, said that the chef progamme would be aimed at "passionate chefs" who are in the early stages of their career and who are keen to have exposure to the very best culinary experiences.
"You will be on the training scheme for 25 months and have the opportunity to work in five top kitchens during that time. This is a hands-on, paid position that will build your craft skills and support your learning of kitchen management."
Applications can now be made to Anita Bower, HR director at Chewton Glen, on 01425 282200. Successful candidates will start the programme in September 2016.
