TGI Fridays and Hawksmoor among top five mid-sized ‘best companies to work for'

Restaurant groups TGI Fridays and Hawksmoor have both scored highly in the Sunday Times's list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For 2013 (mid-sized).

Casual dining chain TGI Fridays was a new entry at number three in the list, while steak chain Hawksmoor placed fifth, also in its first year in the list.

Meanwhile bar and restaurant group Living Ventures rose from 28th in 2012 to ninth this year, and contract caterer Connect Catering climbed from 36th to 14th.

City centre bar firm Inventive Leisure, based in Ashton-under-Lyme edged up one place from 26th to 25th, while the Red Carnation Hotel Colletion moved up from 71st to 26th.

The Savoy hotel in London placed 39th in 2013, up from 44th, while Busaba Eathai dropped slightly from 49th to 54th.

Contract caterer Bartlett Mitchell was a new entry at number 74, as was restaurant group Las Iguanas at 79th.

Belfast-based Botanic Inns dropped from 35th to 78th, while burger chain Byron and T(n)S Catering Managerment were new entries at 92nd and 94th respectively.
