The Caterer invites entries for the 2015 British Travel & Hospitality Hall of Fame

The Caterer is inviting entries for the 2015 British Travel & Hospitality Hall of Fame.

Run in partnership with its sister media brand, the Travel Weekly Group, the Hall of Fame honours outstanding business achievement in the travel, hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors. Members and award winners of the Hall of Fame have all attained exceptional commercial success and shown inspirational leadership in the industry sectors they serve.

The broad scope of the Hall of Fame celebrates the close links and common goals that exist between travel, hospitality leisure and tourism.

Nominations are now being sought for the 2015 Hall of Fame members and for the other related awards, which will also be presented at the awards dinner on 13 April at London's Dorchester hotel. The deadline for entries is 9 February.

Members of the Hall of Fame from the hospitality sector include hoteliers Kurt Ritter, the former president and chief executive of Rezidor, Gabriel Escarrer Julia, the founder and chairman of Melia Hotels International, Lord Forte of Ripley, and Ramon Pajares.

In addition to inducting new Hall of Fame members, awards will be presented to the Young Manager of the Year, the Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and for the Business Achievement of the Year.

The Young Manager of the Year will have created a major impact on the performance of the business or department within a business, through the application of strong management techniques, business understanding, strategic appreciation and people management skills, and will be aged 35 years or younger.

The Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, meanwhile, acknowledges the passion and drive behind an entrepreneur, whether the company is private or listed, family-owned or private equity-backed, across all commercial and industrial sectors, and at any stage of business development. Candidates must also be aged 35 years or younger.

To qualify for the Business Achievement of the Year Award, an individual or company will be able to demonstrate a significant and measurable business achievement within the past 12 months.
