Thecaterer.com breaks user figures record

Thecaterer.com reached record user figures this week, as the website continues to go from strength to strength since The Caterer's acquisition by the Travel Weekly Group nearly three years ago.

The record numbers come following the launch last year of our ground-breaking news and networking site, which introduced a raft of new functionality to The Caterer's online offer, as well as a striking new look.

The milestone this week has seen sessions increase by 42% against the same period last year, users rise by 49%, and page views surge by an incredible 52%, illustrating that The Caterer's reach is now bigger than ever, with news items such as Michelin's leaked results and the Cateys 2015 thriving on social media sites such as Twitter.

Commenting on The Caterer's record figures, publisher Mark Lewis said: "News events like Michelin, the much-awaited shortlist and then results of the Cateys and the AA awards have always seen readers flock to The Caterer's website but thanks to the changes we have made to the site last year and this, its reach is greater than at any point since Travel Weekly Group embarked on its highly successful acquisition of the business.

"The number of sessions and users on thecaterer.com only looks set to increase, as we reinforce our position as the UK's number one hospitality news website."
