Three new staff appointments made at Searcy's at the Gherkin
Searcy's, which occupies the top three floors of the Gherkin, has appointed Emily Kendall (pictured right) as events manager, Erin McGowan (pictured left) as a sales executive and Kate Baxter as private dining events manager to prepare for growth in 2017.
Kendall joins the team from private caterers Party Ingredients, where she worked as events assistant before taking on the role of wedding and events sales manager.
McGowan joins the team from banqueting venue Drapers Hall on London's Throgmorton Street where she supported the head of events.
Baxter comes from the WSH management graduate scheme, after gaining degree in International Hospitality Management at Oxford Brookes University. While studying she experienced various positions within the industry including a stint at ITA Venues where she gained insights into the commercial events industry.
Kendall said: "Working for such an iconic and professional venue is a dream come true, and events manager is such an exciting position to take on. I am delighted to be on board."
Sales and marketing manager Charley Taylor-Smith believes that the new appointments, great hospitality and creative catering will set the organisation ahead of their competition.
She said: "We're focussing on what we do best, which is to give great hospitality to our clients while looking to deliver high-quality, creative catering. We are delighted to have three newcomers on board to help us with our plans, all of whom are enthusiastic and excited for the challenge ahead".
Since 1847, Searcys has developed a reputation for catering and hospitality.
