Tim Parker to retire from Compass board

Compass Group has confirmed that non-executive director Tim Parker is to retire in order to pursue other interests.

Currently a member of the Audit and Remuneration committees, Parker's retirement is effective on 31 December 2010.

Sir Roy Gardner, chairman, said: "Tim's experience and business knowledge have been of great value to the board's deliberations and, on behalf of the board, I wish Tim every success for the future".
