Tourism minister Michael Ellis to speak at UKHospitality conference

Tourism minister Michael Ellis is to join industry heavyweights to discuss the future of the sector at UKHospitality's Shaping the Future conference next week.

Ellis will speak alongside Peter Martin of CGA Strategy; Steve Richards, Casual Dining Group; Peter Gowers, Travelodge; and Peter Marks, Deltic.

Speaking about the recent creation of UK Hospitality following the merger of the British Hospitality Association and the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers,
Ellis said: "I'm delighted that this innovative sector now has a stronger, more focused and unified voice to engage with Government."

He added that he was looking forward to joining industry leaders to discuss their future plans.

Kate Nicholls, chief executive of UK Hospitality, said: "Our first conference is shaping up to be a great one and we are very excited to be able to hear from a Minister working to promote the sector at the heart of Government.

"The conference will be a fantastic opportunity to hear from some of the most influential and knowledgeable men and women in the sector and a chance to ensure that UKHospitality, in its first year, gets off to the best possible start."

Shaping the Future will be held on Monday 9 July and hosted by Principal Hotel Company at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London. Tickets are available at www.shapingthefuture.org.uk.
