Turner takes to the skies

Chef Brian Turner has taken to the skies in a tie-up with British budget airline Flybe, which will stock his sandwich range on board.

As part of the airline's Deli in the Sky in-flight menu, chef/restaurateur Turner has created a range of sarnies featuring classic British ingredients for passengers to feast on.

The celebrity chef said: "Why do airlines try to do things that just don't work in the sky when a simple sandwich is perfection?"

Turner, who already has two restaurants in London's Mayfair and Slough, Berkshire, is a Ready Steady Cook stalwart and appears on TV's Saturday Kitchen.
