Two Sodexo chefs join its Global Chef Programme
Sodexo has announced that two of its top chefs, Matthew Greaves and Michael Godfrey, have joined its Global Chef Programme.
Greaves, head chef at Bradford University and Godfrey, head chef at Eton College, were rewarded with a three-week stay in the USA to share their culinary expertise with colleagues in America.
Operating since 2003, the programme enables Sodexo's leading chefs from around the world to exchange knowledge and learn from each other's experiences.
Greaves's three-week US tour gave him the opportunity to demonstrate classic British dishes such as Lancashire hot pot and sticky toffee pudding to more than 40 American chef colleagues, while Godfrey attended the University of Massachusetts and worked alongside over 40 staff to demonstrate the techniques, tips and products that make for a successful and authentic British meal.
Stephen Holder, Sodexo marketing director, said: "We are very pleased that Matthew and Michael have had the opportunity to take advantage of the programme and are sure that both of them and their American colleagues have gained significantly from working together - and ultimately, of course, Sodexo's clients will benefit."
