Welcome Break opens three new outlets at Eurotunnel terminal

Roadside services operator Welcome Break has opened three new outlets at Eurotunnel's passenger terminal building in Folkestone, Kent.

The Investcorp-owned company, which operates 24 motorway service areas across the UK, has invested £750,000 on its first non-motorway site, creating 48 new jobs.

The new outlets are Coffee Primo, serving coffee, sandwiches and pastries, Eat In, which offers breakfast and hot food, as well as Burger King.

Chief executive Rod McKie, who signed a seven-year deal with Eurotunnel in January, said: "We are delighted to have opened at Eurotunnel and believe our new food and drink outlets will be welcomed by passengers using the terminal.

"Passengers will be able to enjoy the choice and quality available in our motorway service areas."

Janet Andrews, the Mayor of Folkestone, officially opened the new site.
