Former German Gymnasium chef joins Fischer’s in London

Jenson Santos has been appointed head chef at Fischer’s in Marylebone in London.

Mumbai-born Santos brings more than 20 years’ experience to the role, having most recently served as head chef at the Metropolitan Mayfair.

After starting his career at the Leela Mumbai, he moved to London in 2007 to work for the Cinnamon Collection. He also spent six years at the Evolv Collection’s German Gymnasium in London’s King’s Cross.

Fischer’s London is a Michelin Guide-listed restaurant that was opened by Jeremy King and Chris Corbin as a Viennese-style café in 2014.

King was ousted from the business in 2022 after a battle for control with Thai hotel group Minor International, which later rebranded the business to Wolseley Hospitality Group.

The Wolseley Hospitality Group encompasses brands such as the Wolseley and Brasserie Zédel in London’s Piccadilly.
