Fortnum & Mason opens first store and hospitality kiosk outside of London

Fortnum & Mason has opened its first outpost outside of London at Bicester Village in Oxfordshire.

The site features a retail boutique and ‘on-the-go’ hospitality offering serving guests seven days a week at the designer outlet shopping village.

The luxury retail brand’s hospitality kiosk will be situated outside of the store, offering a selection of sweet and savoury toasted sourdough crumpets alongside hot drinks.

Fortnum’s has worked with Chef Tom Moore, of Moore’ish Crumpets, to create the Fortnum’s crumpets which are handmade with a sixty year old starter, and fermented with artisanal ingredients.

Guests can choose from classic crumpets served with Fortnum’s strawberry and Champagne preserve with Ivy Farm butter, as well as unusual toppings created by Fortnum’s executive chef, Sam White, such as Coronation chicken.

The retail space will showcase the brand’s iconic products including Fortnum’s Royal Blend Tea and Fortnum’s Sparkling Tea.

The Fortnum & Mason department store opened on London’s Piccadilly in 1707 and is the holder of two Royal Warrants.
