La Nouvelle Garde is to open Brasserie Olivia in Sloane Square in July
French restaurant group La Nouvelle Garde is to make its international debut with the launch of Brasserie Olivia in London’s Sloane Square this summer.
The Parisian brasserie will open on 9 July and serve home-style dishes showcasing seasonal produce.
It will also open a speakeasy bar, Venus Bar, on the floor below, featuring warm oak panelling and an extensive vinyl collection.
The London outpost marks La Nouvelle Garde’s tenth restaurant, joining its nine-strong portfolio across France’s Bordeaux, Lille, Marseille, Lyon and Neuilly-sur-Seine.
Charles Perez, co-founder of La Nouvelle Garde, said: “We established La Nouvelle Garde for one reason, to preserve the French art de vivre and bring a new golden age to the traditional brasseries everyone is used to. We’re so excited to be bringing this to London with Brasserie Olivia and look forward to introducing our cuisine to everyone.”
Perez and Victor Dubillot founded La Nouvelle Garde in 2019. The pair opened Brasserie Bellanger – the first restaurant to sit under the brand – in the 10th arrondissement in Paris.
