Giammario Ragnoli named general manager at Sopwell House

Giammario Ragnoli has been appointed general manager at Sopwell House in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

He joins the 126-room property from Fulham private members’ club the Hurlingham, where he was chief operating officer.

Ragnoli has over 20 years’ experience in hospitality, having held senior roles at Baglioni hotels, as well as being general manager at Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire for 14 years.

At Sopwell House, he will oversee all aspects of hotel, ranging from food and beverage at the Octagon Bar, Omboo Asian restaurant and brasserie to treatments at the Cottonmill Spa.

He will also be responsible for raising the hotel’s profile as a luxury destination.

Sopwell House belongs to AB Hotels, which is owned by the Bejerano family.
