Gladwin brothers to open the Black Sheep in Wimbledon
The Gladwin brothers are to open their sixth restaurant, in London's Wimbledon Village, in May.
Restaurateurs Oliver and Richard Gladwin have taken the former White Onion restaurant site on the high street, which they will relaunch as bistro-style venue the Black Sheep.
Executive chef Oliver Gladwin will oversee the daily-changing menu, which will focus on seasonal, British produce.
It will seat 65 covers and open for lunch and dinner, with a private dining room available for hire.
The wine list will champion English wines from the Gladwin family's Nutbourne Vineyard in West Sussex, and the restaurant will partner with Wimbledon Wine School to offer Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) courses.
Co-founder Richard Gladwin said: "With the momentum from our recent opening in Richmond behind us, we're excited to expand our neighbourhood offering in Wimbledon.
"We have established and nurtured such fantastic relationships with farmers across the country and look forward to showcasing even more of their produce in our new restaurant.
"It's great to be fighting back post-pandemic and giving people an excuse to dine out again and enjoy the season's harvest over a glass of wine."
The Gladwin brothers' other London restaurants include the Shed in Notting Hill, Nutbourne in Battersea, Rabbit in Chelsea, Sussex in Soho and the Fat Badger in Richmond.
