Glynn Purnell's Mount pub and Il Borro among new additions to Michelin Guide

Michelin's latest monthly update has revealed a further 12 restaurants will be included in its 2023 Great Britain and Ireland Guide.

The additions included Glynn Purnell's Mount pub in Henley-in-Arden, the former Butchers Social which the chef relaunched earlier this year serving informal modern British cuisine.

Seasgair by Michel Roux Jr, the chef's restaurant at Inverlochy Castle was also included in the list, as was Cubitt House's the Princess Royal in London.

Meanwhile, there were two additions from Cornwall: the Dining Room at 27 in St Ives, at which Grant Nethercott is head chef, and the Rising Sun Inn in Altarnun, owned by Tim and Terri Kendall of the Barley Sheaf at Gorran Churchtown.

Since last summer, Michelin has been unveiling new additions to its listings every month. The restaurants appear as recommended on its website and apps highlighted with a ‘new' symbol.

It will not be confirmed if any of the restaurants will also receive a star, Bib Gourmand, or Green Star sustainability award until a ceremony next year.

The full list of new additions is as follows:

  • Upstairs at Landrace, Bath
  • Seasgair by Michel Roux Jr, Fort William
  • Kushi-Ya, Nottingham
  • The Mount, Henley-in-Arden
  • Seasonality, Maidenhead, Berkshire
  • 1863, Pooley Bridge, Ullswater
  • Saint Francis Provisions, Kinsale, Ireland
  • The Princess Royal, Bayswater and Maida Vale, London
  • The Dining Room at 27, St Ives, Cornwall
  • Rising Sun Inn, Altarnun, Cornwall
  • Tropea, Birmingham
  • Il Borro, Mayfair, London
