Happy Face Pizza planning to grow to five London restaurants

Neapolitan pizza restaurant Happy Face Pizza has announced plans to grow to five London locations this year.

The brand launched in King's Cross in 2018 and received a positive review from The Guardian'sGrace Dent, who praised its "retro feel" and "pocket-friendly" small Italian menu.

It has now opened a 50-cover restaurant in the Eccleston Yards development in Victoria and will open on Claremont Way, near Brent Cross Shopping Centre, in February 2022.

The group plans to launch a further two sites in "neighbourhood locations" this year.

Happy Face's pizzas are priced from £7.50 and are made with 72-hour fermented dough. Executive chef Mario Mastrangelo has created a menu including a classic Margherita; a vegan pepperoni pizza; and rucola with mozzarella, rocket, prosciutto crude and Parmesan. The restaurant also serves antipasto, dolci and gelato.

Happy Face Pizza co-founder Dominic Lake said: "Following the success of our flagship in King's Cross, we are excited to be bringing our pizzas to Victoria and Brent Cross. We offer seriously good pizza, at an accessible price point, and look forward to establishing both our restaurants as part of their respective neighbourhoods."
