Hospitality Action appoints Sketch CEO Sinead Mallozzi as patron

Industry charity Hospitality Action has appointed Sketch CEO Sinead Mallozzi as its newest patron.

Mallozzi joins the likes of Tom Kerridge, Michael Caines and principal patron, Jason Atherton in supporting the charity, which has helped hospitality workers in the UK since 1837.

Once London's only female hotel manager, Mallozzi has frequently combined her interest in arts and culture with hospitality – launching the UK's first ice rink at Somerset House before taking the reins at Sketch as it has evolved its offering over the course of 17 years.

The artistically inspired Mayfair restaurant has has helped raise some £34,000 in donations from customers since October 2018.

She said "It's an absolute honour to be asked to be a Hospitality Action patron and I am very proud to be a part of this very necessary and worthwhile charity."

Mark Lewis, Hospitality Action's chief executive, said: "I'm delighted to welcome Sinead as Hospitality Action's newest patron.

"Sinead has been an inspirational motivator for the charity in recent times. Her team's fundraising efforts are nothing short of amazing netting over £34,000 in customer fundraising in less than a year. In addition, Sinead's team have been exemplars of good practice by embracing the employee wellness opportunities provided by our Employee Assistance Programme.

"I am looking forward to her valuable input over the months and years ahead."
