AA partners with Eviivo for marketing initiative
The AA has teamed up with online booking system Eviivo to launch the Tourism Open Partnership (TOP), a new marketing initiative primarily aimed at small, independent establishments.
TOP will combine the AA's accreditation scheme with Eviivo's online distribution system, providing links to more than 30 websites including Expedia, lastminute.com and toprooms.com.
As well as all 5,800 existing AA hotel and bed and breakfast members automatically being able to benefit from the partnership with Eviivo, it is hoped that between 500 and 700 new businesses will sign up to TOP this year. The confirmation that 45 establishments have come on board during TOP's first week of operation was described as "a good, promising start" by AA hotel services manager Simon Numphud.
"The partnership will enable us to offer better value to our members by delivering a tangible benefit in respect of bookings, allowing independent hotels and B&Bs - which in particular find marketing challenging in the growing online market - access to a wide distribution channel," he said.
"The combination of a quality assurance scheme with an online distribution presence is a compelling and unique offer for establishments."
