Accor launches nationwide open days in hunt for 100 management apprentices
Hotel group Accor is to run a series of open days around the country as it starts the search for 100 new management apprentices.
The company already has around 150 apprentices in its Management Apprenticeship Programme (MAP), which it runs with Babcock and the National Apprentice Service.
New entrants will complete qualifications at NVQ levels 2 and 3, as well as a Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership, all of which is expected to take 24-30 months.
Successful apprentices will then be fast-tracked up the management latter to a supervisory level, with the aim of starting a management career in the company.
Accor said it was looking for hard workers with good communications skills, an outgoing personality and plenty of common sense, as well as reliability and punctuality.
The initial stages of the programme will see apprentices working as receptionists on shift work, before moving on to learn the supervisory aspects of the job.
