Ambition To be the general manager of a five-star London hotel
In four years, Adam Rowledge has risen from the position of night manager at Henley Hotel du Vin, to rooms division manager of a five-star London hotel. From Hotel du Vin he moved to Hand Picked's Nutfield Priory Hotel & Spa as reception manager and then into the newly created role of front of house manager, managing 11 staff.
By the age of just 26, Adam was managing 22 staff at the Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa. A position at South Lodge Hotel followed, after which, in 2011, Adam joined the Hempel as rooms division manager and member of the executive team. A member of the Institute of Hospitality and committee member of the association of front office managers, the AICR UK, today he is responsible for 27 staff and a budgeted rooms revenue this year in excess of £3.2m.
