Adjacent Bournemouth hotels sell for £3.5m

Two adjacent hotels in Bournemouth have been sold for close to the asking price of £3.5m.

David Miller is the new owner of the Best Western Connaught and Sun Court hotels, which are a short walk from both the town centre and the coastal cliff tops.

The two properties have a combined 89 bedrooms and share many of their facilities, including an indoor leisure complex made up of a swimming pool, spa bath, solarium, steam rooms, saunas, gym, beauty parlour and hair salon.

The hotels also share the outdoor swimming pool, three lounge bars, a residents' bar and two large restaurants that can seat 170 people between them.

Residents at either property can also make use of a function suite with three dance floors that can be sub-divided into smaller rooms.

"The proximity of the properties to each other provides a great opportunity to create a link between the two and the flexibility to cater for almost any requirement from the customers. I do see fresh impetus from me culminating in many new ideas," said Miller.

The Southampton office of Colliers Robert Barry handled the sale.
